Thigh Tension

Thigh Tension

The operation of stretching the upper leg area by removing the sagging skin and fat tissue in the upper leg area under the groin. In some people the skin is loosened and sagging in the thighs due to weight loss, aging and birth. Thigh stretching and irregularities can be performed in advanced degrees. This operation is a recommended intervention for people with significant deformation as traces will occur in the inguinal region.

Thigh tension surgery is performed under general anesthesia. An elliptical incision through the back of the groin is removed from the skin and fat tissue. The upper leg skin is sutured to the groin area. Drains are placed to collect blood and body fluids that can accumulate inside. These drains are removed after 48-72 hours. At the end of the operation, there is a suture line extending from the crotch region to the back, and there will be an incision in this area. Daily activities are restricted after 2-3 weeks. Stitches are taken on 12-14 days. Activities such as sports can be started after 6 weeks. Since the suture line is in a naturally moist and contaminated area such as the crotch region, wound healing problems may occur. These problems will improve within a few weeks with the dressings. In addition, exposure of the stitch line to a moving area and gravity are factors that can cause wounds to expand. Therefore, these operations are preferred and applied for patients with significant sagging and deformation.
